Data analysis in manufacturing with TrendMiner

The customer: Grace Silica GmbH

Grace Silica GmbH (https://grace.com/), part of the US company Grace, specialises in the production of fillers for tyres and technical rubber goods, anti-caking agents and flowable additives in food processing and matting agents in coatings and paints.
The site in Düren has decided to carry out all data analyses in manufacturing with TrendMiner. By using TrendMiner, there is always not only transparency about the manufacturing processes, but all parameters of the various processes can be closely monitored and analyzed. This leads to an improved use of resources.

Tasks & activities MEGLA

In order for Grace to use TrendMiner in the future, the system must first be implemented. After clarifying all requirements and how and where exactly TrendMiner will be installed, it was time for implementation. MEGLA carried out the initial installation and then put TrendMiner into operation. This means that we have established connections to data sources. This includes, among other things, the connection to the historian AVEVA PI (MEGLA is an official partner and system integrator) already used by Grace.

In the future, our IT allies from the MEGLA team will support Grace in keeping the system up to date, making updates and supporting the work with TrendMiner on the user side.
