How to automate your production
Information flows from the physical processes (level 0) to the business-related activities (level 4) and vice versa.
Example: A sensor (level 0) sends data to a PLC (level 1), which forwards this data to a SCADA system (level 2). The SCADA system informs the MES (level 3), which in turn informs the ERP system (level 4) about the production status.
